Rule of thumb according to fashionistas:
If you're going to wear a large pendant necklace it's best to pair it with accessories that are smaller.
When wearing large pendant necklaces less is more. Stick to wearing minimal, if any, arm candy and rings.
If you're thinking about adding earrings DON'T. You don't want your pieces to be competing with each other.
Why, you ask? Think about where the focus of attention is going. When wearing a larger pendant necklace, of course you want it to be the star of the show. It may confuse onlookers and admirers when gazing upon you and your assemble. With all that said, in my personal opinion DO YOU. There are no rules to wearing my designs. My pieces are part of your journey. Do what feels right to you when expressing yourself in my pieces.
However, if you feel like you need some guidance here are some tips I would like to share with you. No harm in that. Again, do what feels right with YOUR style. It's yours and you are unique!
First things first, be aware of your neckline when wearing large pendant necklaces. Not all tops are made to work well with pendant necklaces. Tops like halter tops and tank tops, for example are all about the shoulders and neck. In this case opt for those big dangly earrings you love, pull your hair back and let those earrings dazzle us.
V-necks are a hit or miss. It really just depends on where the pendant hangs on your chest, which can be different for each woman. Crew necks, some collars, turtle necks or scoop tops work great with pendant necklaces.
If you're thinking about adding more necklaces make sure you keep that simple as well. Remember your pendant necklace is the center of attraction if you don't want the look to become too busy let the pendant stand alone. You can't go wrong there.
