What is this Nomadic Tree jewelry line?

In case we haven't met, allow me to introduce myself!

I'm Angie, the owner and creative mind behind The Nomadic Tree Jewelry! thenomadictree.com

I design jewelry that has a Bohemian vibe. You might be asking yourself, what is this Bohemian or Boho thing?...

The term is just an industry description for the style of jewelry that is out there. It basically means the jewelry is designed in an artistic way usually inspired by nature and celestial bodies. These pieces are usually eclectic and utilizes a playful combination of materials as well as textures like wood, metals, stones, and textiles. There is only one rule when it comes to Boho fashion. That rule is - there are no rules...

Boho fashion is meant to be fun and whimsical. Meshing different colors from all over the color wheel, mix matching them in an unorthodox combination of materials in a original artisan piece is a fundamental aspect to the look. An expression of originality and not one size fits all. An extension of your personality just as it should be. Boho jewelry is perfect for the "free spirited", those who know who they are and are comfortable in their own skin, not afraid to express their love of nature, people, adventure and themselves. We all just want to feel free and empowered to be ourselves, and I think the Bohemian style embodies that mind set.

So who or what is The Nomadic Tree?

It is I. I am It.

I am the creative designer and producer of the Nomadic Tree Jewelry. A one woman show and proud of it. I am also a wife and a mother of 3 wonderful children, which I am also very proud of. Is this a difficult title full of behind the scenes ups and downs? Absolutely, but I wouldn't change a thing! I LOVE what I do. I put my heart and soul into what I do and that goes for my family as well as my jewelry business. My goal is to convey my love and dedication in both my family and my work.

Full disclosure, because I feel like transparency is the best policy...

It all started about 6 years ago, even though the creativity has been there all my life....

My last career, many years ago, was as hair stylist. The family began to grow and I made a decision to stay with my children full time. As the children began to grow older I began to feel a need to reconnect with myself. I think any dedicated mother knows exactly what I'm talking about. I wasn't changing diapers, breast feeding or potty training any more. My children were becoming slightly more independent, which allowed me more time to ponder different things. I needed to get back into a creative mode because honestly, I felt like a part of me or who I was was missing. Anyone who is creative or an artist knows this feeling when you are not expending that creative energy as you should be...

I am a lover of nature and alternative methods of well being and became fascinated with essential oils, so much that I decided to take a course on the subject. I obtained a diploma in advanced aromatherapy. Creativity being the driving force, I began making my own concoctions or "synergies" if you will, of essential oil blends and various skin care products, that in turn led to aromatherapy jewelry.

To make a long and probably boring story short, after a while the essential oil industry began to explode becoming even more popular and big business started picking it up. I'm not about "big business" and decided to hone in on my craft and creativity. I felt like I needed to niche myself down to something that scratched more at my creative itch. I started to expand my jewelry making knowledge and in 2018 started a new venture. The Nomadic Tree Jewelry!

What's In the Name?

I feel deeply connected to nature. It has been my saving grace in many ways. I love adventure and being outdoors. I love exploring new places, near and far. Staying in one place for too long is something that vexes me. That is the nomadic spirit in me, however, I am always rooted in one place, a place I call home with the people I love and are important to me. The tree represents that rooted connection and grounding. My connection to nature also drives my desire to deeply connect with people. I think it's important to maintain authentic deep connections with those we vibe with while keeping life fun and expressive. I feel that I am free to be me, and in that, I invite others to feel free to be truly, unapologetically themselves.

My goal, my wish, is to convey this type of vibe in the jewelry I create with my hands for you- each piece at a time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn a little about me. Thank you for allowing me to express myself in my creations and joining me in that expression of your own true self.

It has been and continues to be a beautiful journey. I hope you will come along for the ride at thenomadictree.com!

NAMASTE!
